WebLogic Node Manager Windows Service Start and Stop

The Node Manager Windows service starts and stops immediately. The Windows service internally tries to start the startNodeManager.cmd that present under WL_HOME\sever\bin directory

To solve this issue:

1. Open a command prompt

2. Go to the WL_HOME\sever\bin directory

3. start the startNodeManager.cmd through the command line

4. The script will throw some error like JAVA_HOME not set, DOMAIN_HOME not set, WL_HOME not set or some different error

  • If any property has not set, edit the file in a notepad file and set the missing property with correct value
    • For Example, set JAVA_HOME=c:\jdk8.57

5. Troubleshoot and fix the error, Start the startNodeManager.cmd again
and make sure it starts running

6. Close the command, start the Windows Service
