How to install Oracle WebCenter content 11.1.1.9.0 – Part 4 – Start Script

This is the continuation of install Oracle WebCenter part 3. This section we walk through how to start and stop the WebCenter Content server, Addition I have explained how to add addition WebCenter component. Let’s begin to continue to install Oracle WebCenter – part 4

 

 

Install Oracle WebCenter  – Start & Stop scripts

 

1. Go into your MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\ecm\bin and double click on the startWeblogic.cmd script

2. Wait until it come to RUNNING mode

3. Login into WebLogic console; The default URL is http://HOST:PORT:7001/console

4. Click on the servers and check the WebCenter server name UCM_Server1

5. Open a command prompt & go to MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\ecm\bin ; Run the below command
& Input the WebLogic username and password

startManagedWebLogic.cmd <SERVER_NAME> http://WEBLOGIC_ADMIN_HOST:ADMIN_PORT

For Example:

startManagedWebLogic.cmd UCM_server1 http://localhost:7001

4. Wait till the server status in RUNNING mode as like step 2 & note the port under the Listen Port

5. Open a browser and go to WebCenter URL ; For example: http://localhost:16200/cs

6. Click on the Submit button

7. The initial configuration is done. You will see a message Post-install configuration complete. Please restart this node.

8. Click CTRL+C to exit the managed server and restart it

9. Open the Content Server in browser

10. The WebCenter Content Server will display like below

That’s it. we are done with the WebCenter installation. Suppose if you want to add any additional component then continue the below section

 

What Next?

 

If you want to add Inbound Refinery Managed Server (http://HOST:PORT/ibr) or any other component you can simply extend the domain and add the products;

The below steps show how to add Inbound Refinery Managed Server in the existing domain

 

1. Go to MW_HOME\wlserver\common\bin directory and run the config.cmd

2. Select Extend an existing WebLogic domain

3. Select your domain

4. Select the component, Click Next, and Finish. Find the managed server name in the WebLogic console ( Step 4 ) and start the Managed Server ( Step 5 )
