The JSF InputSecret field renders an HTML <INPUT> tag of type Password. An asterisks (*) symbol comes for each character in the password field. Setting redisplay=false attribute empties the password field whenever refresh happens on the browser.

JSF => <h:inputSecret value=”#{user.password}” />

HTML => <input type=”password” name=”j_idt2:j_idt3″ value=”” />
