Oracle Unified Directory Installation – Part III – ODSM Setup

This is the continuation of Oracle Unified Directory installation. In this section, we are going to configure Oracle Directory service ManagerODSM ) on the existing WebLogic domain.  ODSM is a graphical user interface which is used to configure and manage directories, directory objects, Users, groups, directories and other entries. Please follow the pre-requisite and the version number carefully before beginning the process 

 

Pre-Requisite: 

Oracle WebLogic 10.3.6  

 

ADF Framework 11.1.1.9  (You can skip ADF Runtime if you already have  any FMW application like SOA or BPM or BI suite)

 

Oracle Unified Directory Installation 

 

Oracle Unified Directory Installation: Extend WebLogic domain to support  ODSM 

You need to extend the existing IDM domain to support Oracle Unified Directory. 

 

1.Go to MW_HOME\oracle_comon\common\bin & Double click on the config.cmd file

2. Select Create or Extend an existing WebLogic domain

3. Select your WebLogic domain. I selected my Identity Manager domain here

4. Scroll down. Select Oracle Directory Service Manager and under Extend My domain. Then Click Next

5. These data sources existed on my domain. You may not see the data sources. Click Next

6. Click Next

7. Click Next

8. Click Extend

9. Click Done

Start the WebLogic

1. Go to MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\idm_domain\bin and start startWeblogic.cm

 

2. Access the Oracle Directory Service Manager (ODSM) URL http://localhost:7001/odsm

Connect your LDAP directory in this screen and click Login to see the directory information

3. Click Yes
