How to create an Oracle ADF Form 

In this section, we walk through how to create a Simple Employee ADF Form that collects employee information and saves it in a table. This  ADF Form performs the following operations

  • Create an Employee
  • Update an existing employee
  • Deletes an Employee
  • Commit & Rollback

 

Pre-Requisite

Follow the pre-requisites to before proceeding with the example: 

 

JDeveloper 12C  (Install BPM Suite Quick Installer, the JDeveloper comes with it)

HR Schema (Built-in schema comes with Oracle database, unlock it by running ALTER USER HR ACCOUNT UNLOCK)

Employee EO/VO Object 

 

 

Crete an ADF Form

 

In the ADF Application >> Expand the viewController >> Right click on the Web Content >> Right click and Select New >> Select Page

Input a file name>> click Ok

Click on the Source tab of the index.jsf >> On the left-hand side, expand the Data Control >> Expand the AppModuleDataControl >> Drag the EmployeeVo1 object and drop it on the JSF page in between the Form tag as shown below

Enable the Row Navigation >> Click Ok >> Click Save all

Scroll down the End of the source >> On the left-hand side, Expand the Operation >> Drag the Commit and drop it inside the PanelGroupLayouts inside Footer >> Select the Option ADF Button

Same way, Drag and Drop the Rollback into the Footer >> Select ADF Button >> Click Save All

Run the ADF Application

 

Right, click on the index.jsf >> Click Run
