How to change ADF Bar Chart Properties at run time?

When we create a JSF page with backing bean on then all the UI components automatically binds with the backing bean object. After that it is easy to alter the UI component property at run time with the help of listener. In this example, we are rendering a Bar Chart with a reference line & Select One Choice in a JSF page. The visibility of the Reference line is turned On and Off at run time . The Visibility is the property of <dvt:referenceLine>.

Download the Project : ADF_DVT_APP

Let’s start the Example

1. Create an ADF Fusion Web Application

2. Create EO & VO object of Employee table and Create a JSF page

3. Create an ADF Bar Chart from Employee table. Add a reference line in the barChart. Turn off the Visibility of the reference line. We are going to On it from backing bean

4. Create a select one Choise like below and turn on the autosubmit property . The ValusChangeListener property is binds with a backing bean method . Whenever a valus change occur the JSF calls the backing bean method.

5. The backing bean method which On & Off the <dvt:referenceLine> in Bar Chart

6. The Final page will look like the following output
