ADF Groovy Example: Refer same VO attribute

In this section, we will create a transient attribute in View object where the value refers another column in the same VO using Groovy. Let’s begin to start the ADF Groovy Example

Pre-Requisite:

JDeveloper 12.1.3

HRSchema (Ships with Oracle database)

EMployeeVO object (Refer here for the instruction to create EO and VO object from a table)

 

ADF Groovy example: 

 

Double click on the EmployeeEOView >> Click Attributes >> Click + icon to add attribute >> Input name as Bonus and type as BigInteger>> Click Ok >> Click Save

Select the created attribute Bonus >> Click Details tab >> Click the expression tab >> Type Salary+1000 >> Click Ok

Bonus = Salary +1000 \\ Where Salary is another column in the table

Test the AppModule

 

  • Right click on the AppModule >> Click Run
  • Double click on the EmployeeEOView >> Check the Bonus attribute value
